I am a recent Dish customer and have a rebate form from the installer to mail in with the first month's bill. The rebate will consist of $10 off per month for 10 months. On the form it says a copy of the bill must be sent in with proof that I have qualifying programming.

Well, the first bill came in with no list of programming I have, just amount owed and a due date. I called the rebate center and they said I have to send in a bill that has programming on it. I did not get a bill that indicates my programming. It seems as if Dish is trying to prevent me from obtaining the rebate by sending me an incomplete bill that does not meet their rebate terms.

Email ceo@echostar.com detailing the problem. I had similar problem, ceo handled it on the spot.

Why do companies like rebates, a percentage will be filled out incorrectly so they never get paid. Copy both sides of your bill and it should meet requirements.

It took me 3 calls and 2 emails to the ceo email address to get my rebate. They kept telling me that I sent the wrong thing, or there was a computer problem.

Blech. I never buy anything that has rebates, and this is why.

It took me a year to get my rebate. You just have to keep calling.

I've really never seen Dish send out a bill without any breakdown or programming details.

You can also download your bill at any time on the dish website. I do it all the time and double check everything.

When I ordered my HD upgrade, the person on the phone informed me that I should wait until I get the correct bill in the mail, and it may take a couple of months. She told me what to look for to identify the correct bill (HD programming).
