What brand/model multiswitch do you have? To properly work with a 3-LNB dish that multiswitch should have FOUR inputs, not 2 or 3. All four dish outputs must be connected to the 4-input multiswitch (such as a Zinwell WB68 or Terk BMS58).

I used to think I was a rather intelligent person but . . how the heck do you use that site? Maybe it's because it's early but damn that website is hard to read.

I have a perfect view Perfect Vision 3x8 Multiswitch (PVMS8EP) from solidsignal website
When i had the 3LNB dish installed the tech only ran 2 lines.

Call your tech back. You must have all 4 lines from the dish to the switch for proper operation.

It's easier if you start at the America's page ....

Just pick one of the DirecTV satellites to see what channels are beamed from each.

Thanks guys for the info, much appreciated. I called DTV today and told them that i had only 2 lines coming in instead of 4 and the lady on tech support didnt answer me when i told her that. I have a tech coming out this friday, because of an on screen message i keep getting about a bad multiswitch and also my even numbered transponders on 101 and 119 are 0 or 50 or less but my odd one are 85 and above. weird.

Be sure that the Tech runs two more lines from your satellite dish to a new 4-input multiswitch. Most likely they'll install a Zinwell WB68 Multiswitch.

Thanks much dog. Does the 5 LNB also need 4 lines run to the multiswitch? I am gonna have one installed on the 29th. Thanks again

Yes. Same Zinwell WB68 is used with the 5-LNB dish.
