I just saw my first Directv HD commerical. It said to call now to get up to 150 HD channels. 3X more than cable. Maybe this is a good sign and it is getting very close. :)

No you didn't........nice try DISH sub. The commercials that were around last Christmas openly stated that D* would "have" the capacity for all the channels! They now "DO" have the capacity.:D

Heisman........it seems that I shouldn't wager anything, as you switched services on 9/1/07! My apologies as I mispoke.......slightly. I knew that you WERE an E* sub, and of course didn't know that you had switched services. But, at times you were very antagonistic and pro E*.....weren't you:lol: Anyway, my apologies for speaking off the cusp. Why did you switch if E* does CURRENTLY have more HD? ST?

Heisman is now on D* because E* took too long to get the Big Ten Network. Just to clarify.

Correctamundo. I switched for BTN and NFLST. I am extremely happy I switched. You have no idea how bad E*'s SD is, unless you have had their service. It will be interesting to see if D*'s HD picture quality improves when the new sat goes live. Their current HD seems a little bit starved. I do miss my 622, as the HR-20 is an extremely inferior device. If antagonistic is calling them like I see them, or having a little harmless fun, then I am that! :)

If I were the marketing department at DIRECTV I would be preparing a huge advertising push for the fall, with the H21 just around the corner and the new satellite coming on line very soon.

  No prob having some fun....none at all. Welcome to D*, no, I have never had E*. I never would have E*, I felt the way the Viacom deal was handled by them years ago was completely unprofessional IMHO.

I have 2 friends that I have convinced to switch from E* to D* this year, and they both said E* had the worst customer service that they have ever experienced! WOW!
