Stupid Question (622)

I'm having a strange problem with my new 622 and i'm sure there's a simple answer. When I select SAT and press the power button the reciever displays a "tips" menu. At this menu there are no selections to turn the unit off. It's like i'm stuck in a loop. I can select more tips but it won't turn off. Any ideas?

I assume you are talking about the screen saver in standby mode. There is no "off" mode for this receiver. When you turn it "off" it goes into standby, which is necessary so that it can awaken to fire off any timers you set or to take nightly programming (EPG) updates or software/firmware updates.

Maybe one of the tips needs to be, "Standby is what happens when you turn your receiver off and this is what you will see."!:lol:
