721 - my 1st REAL malfunction

well, it's been a month now and I am loving the 721, even with it's quirks.
But this morning it looks like it got hung during a recording.
Last night I was in "power-user" mode (lol) flipping, flopping, PVRing, PIPing, swapping, previous-channeling like a mad man. I don't know what got into me :blush: Then suddenly on one channel change I got black screen, with the exception of two pencil-thin purple lines horizontally outlining where the top banner would normally be. The 721 would take no commands for about 15 seconds when suddenly it resumed like nothing happened. Now I should have KNOWN to reboot at this time, but I didn't.
Turned it all off, went to bed and woke up this morning with those same purple lines when it should have been recording a show. A reboot solved this and now all is normal again.

Yeah, I've had that one...you have to be careful with the PIP and swapping and all. Sometimes, it doesn't react nicely.

Anytime you get any significant bug to do with tuners, rebooting immediately is the best bet. You'll end up doing it eventually anyway.

no doubt crash - you'd think I would know better after a year with the 501. All the booting kept it pretty trouble-free, but I just HAD to see how the 721 handled it for myself
