721 Timing bug.

So here's the problem I've been having. I've set the PVR to record a show Mon-Fri at 12:00am. I've noticed that it's recording at Sunday 12:00am and not on Friday at 12:00am.

My theory is that the 721 considers 12:00am to be the next day. So at 11:59 pm Monday night, the 721 will consider 12:00am to be Tuesday. Therefore, on my setting described above, I'm getting the 721 recording Sunday 12:00am through Thursday 12:00am- because when Friday rolls to 12:00am, the 721 thinks it's Saturday at 12:00am.
Weird.

As a fix, I've set a recording for once a week on Saturday from 12:00am- 1:00am.

This also leads me to believe that the 721 records based on time- like a VCR; unlike the Tivo which records based on the name of the show that's in the guide.

Has that been noticed by anyone else?

That not a bug.
That is actually correct:
a day begins at 12:00:00 am (0:00:00) and ends at 11:59:59 pm (23:59:59).

No offense, Halfsek, but this is common sense. Your shows come on Tuesday through Saturday, so a M-F timer isn't going to work for you. Why don't you set your M-F timer to fire at 11:59pm?

I agree, common sense. But here's the thing- the TV stations says, "Your show, Monday through Friday at 12:00am" Meaning the first showing of the week is Monday night/ Tuesday morning.. not Sunday night/ Monday morning.

Okay, so I'm watching it Monday at 12:00am, hit record and use the Mon-Fri option on the PVR. As far as I'm concerned, it should record it as it airs.

But in a case like this, I suppose it's just a manual timing thing rather than hitting record during the show and letting the PVR set it up.
I have to admit though, somehow Tivo did figure out this problem. But I like my 721 better. :)
