Now that the current tv season is well underway, I'd like to post some reviews of some of the shows I watch and see what others think. I'm sticking with returning shows in this review:

Monday

King of Queens - My favorite sitcom. It is as funny as it was last year and the bowling alley episode has been the best this year.

Boston Public - Losing steam fast. Every week is a life-and-death controversy. Needs some fun injected quickly.

Gilmore Girls - OK drama. My 11-year-old really likes it.

Tuesday:

24 - Ever bit as good as last year. Great show.

Real World - Can't stand the current cast, but I have never liked any of the roommates. The most "unreal world" yet. Still a voyer's dream.

The Osbornes - Starts Tuesday. I liked the first year, but the shock value may be down this year. We'll see.

Wednesday:

The Amazing Race - My favorite show on tv. The locations are spectacular and the teams this time are fun to watch.

The Bachelor - I personally can't stand the show, but my wife liked it.

South Park - Not as funny as it once was, but a good waste of a half hour.

Thursday:

Survivor Thailand - Good solid teams. Not as likeable as the last group, but a fun hour nonetheless.

Friends - Good, but losing steam. They should go out while they are on top. The Thanksgiving episode with Christina Applegate was funny, but not roll on the floor funny.

Will & Grace - Reached it's peak two years ago. Nothing but sexual innuendos. Time to go away.

ER - Great season so far. It seems to be back to it's glory years of the late 90's.

Friday & Saturday:

This is when I usually catch up on the shows of the week. I don't watch anything regularly these days.

Sunday:

The Simpsons - Losing it's edge, but still the most bang-for-the-buck in the humor department. I always laugh when I watch it.

The Practice - Another David E. Kelley show that is turning into an outrageous farce. Peaked long ago, but still watchable.

Daily shows:

National Geographic Today - With the 30-minute format, it is more watchable and less heavy-handed. A very informative show.

Dr Phil - My wife love the guy. I don't get it, but I'm a guy - I'm not supposed to.

I'll post a review of new shows soon.

I deprogammed "Andromeda" from my TiVo Season Passes, the episodes were just pileing up and couldn't get past them without giving up on them. Supposed to be the 3rd year of 5 years, supposed to be at the Series HUMP where things really hit the fan (I think of season 3 of B5, or any of the STs and they were all much better).

5 seconds from deprogramming "Ed" as well. Lots supposedly happening with all the wedding talk, but like Northern Exposure, the once quaint people are now just annoying.

Sunday:

Angel - Still worth a watch, Wesley taking gritty personality interesting

Monday:

Boston Public - David Kelley can't keep a show interesting for more than 2 years in a row. This may be his nail in the coffin if he dosen't fix it.

Tuesday:

Buffy - Still enjoying it, but more wondering who will take over if show continues?

Wed:
Ed - Getting Sleepy.....
West Wing - Better than last year...Wonder how Rob Lowe leaving will affect show?

Thurs:
Friends: Still funny, still enjoying it, but it has to stop this year or else will have 40 year olds sitting around coffee house, thats just sad...
Do Over - Really Enjoying reliving the early 80s. More Pat Benatar Music!!!
Good Morning Miami - Kind of enjoyed the Romantic comedy, but as usual there is little that makes this Workplace comedy different/better than others.

Friday:
Nothing

Sat:
ReAiring of Enterprise: Still has potential, willing to give it one more year, but not classic yet.

Lets see here.... of the shows that I'm watching... mind you, I'm watching most of them in batches of six due to transferring to friends. So, bear with me if I'm off an episode or three....

Buffy, The Vampire Slayer and Angel (combined) - It appears that Joss Whedon took a page from the JMS book of storytelling by having a thread run throughout the season. Just when you thought things can't change any more, another curve ball is thown.

Angel - (First six episodes) This season has been picking up where last season stopped, and they're not pushing any reset buttons. Wesley's no wuss, and I'm glad Lorne is back with the team.

Buffy - Unlike last years dark season where only the season opener, musical, amneisia, mental ward, and Dark Willow episodes were memorable, this is the Buffy we're used to seeing. This may be the final season for the slayer/

Enterprise - The only reason why I'm hanging around is because of Scott Bakula. This show has a great cast of characters, however, the writers need to flex their muscles and push the envelope.

The Amazing Race - Of the reality shows I've seen, this is the second best (The Mole being the best). This is an adventure, and they travel to some exotic locales and do some extrodinary things. Perhaps the biggest problem is that the teams really don't have time to enjoy the journey.

Survivor - Despite several changes in the game structure, this reality show keeps repeating the same thing over and over, and is becoming stale. Can we see some *REAL* survival skills in practice here instead of Lord of the Backstabbing fireflies.

CSI & CSI: Miami - We have problems with repeat value. The first time you seen an episode, the twists and turns have some surprise in them. But, rewatchability can be a problem. It's child, CSI: Miami, is still finding it's own path.

Bird Of Prey - The vultures are circling around wating for the feathers from this show to be clipped. Oh wait, the wings have been clipped. So much potential wasted away. Where are the costumes?

24 - Seen only first episode, Incomplete.

Firefly - I'm seeing something develop here. This show needs to have time to develop. Fox, give this show a chance.

Gave up on Firefly a while ago, maybe like Buffy I will wait 5 years and watch it on FX to catch up :p

Actually with buffy, there always has been a THREAD thru the season. Each season had one major villian, The Master Season, Spike & Dru Season, The Mayor & Faith Season, The Initiative & Adam Season, Glory & The Key, The Trio Season.

And with Angel (haven't seen first 2 seasons, come on DVDs!!!), last season was "The Pregnant Vampire & baby Connor season." This Season is the "Horndog Connor and another Apocalypse season"

I pretty much agree with you, Karl (except Gilmore Girls is of Tuesday opposite Buffy...two shows you should never miss).

Since your weekends are open, might I suggest "The Agency", which is consistently in my top 3 every week, and far superior to "Without a Trace" which replaced it on Thursdays. ALSO, "The Shield" comes back January 7th.
