As I was watching football yesterday, about 5 minutes into the game I got the acquiring guide data... box on the bottom of the screen for a few seconds.
I thought to myself, self this is what happened when the VOD channels populated the guide and wondered if maybe, possibly the new HD channels were populating.
Excited, I went into the menu, and changed my favorites to show all channels, alas there were no new HD channels so I went back to drinking beer, eating pizza and watching football.

I have seen this a few times. Not sure why it has shown up in the past few weeks. It may be something to do with the latest software.
I get that from time to time. No biggie.

Had it happen over the weekend as well. Checked and found that all of my VOD channels had disappeared from the guide. Went back in and edited my favorites and found that they had added a bunch more VOD channels for testing!:)

I've gotten this several times on both receivers, but the screen goes blank and then switches to 201!!!
I want to say with 100% certainty that this has to do with DOD. However I think I receall seeing it before DOD was active

That happened to us Saturday night. Except we lost all local channels for about 10 minutes and lost everything on the ToDo list for this week.
Seems like almost every day we turn on the TV and it's on channel 201 and our locals are missing from the guide.
We too are hoping that this may have something to do with the new HD channels... if not it is becoming a big fat pain in the @ss.

I have the same problem (only worse) on one of my HR20-100s.
Almost everyday when I come home the unit has powered itself on for some reason, and last night I had the "Acquiring Guide Data" message at the bottom of the screen throughout the entire MNF game. I had a picture and could change to whatever channel I wanted to, but the Guide Data message never went away.
I imagine a RBR would clear up the problem temporarily, but I am getting tired of resetting multuple times per week. Over the past two weeks, I have had missing channels, spotty tuner outages (on all inputs, Sat 1, Sat 2 and even OTA), the receiver rebooting itself while watching HBO etc.
Of course the only time it worked flawlessly was while the Tech was at the house!
Frustration levels are rising.... :(

I had a bunch of problems last night too...only I have the h20-700. Mine did the thing where it says "all available tuners are recording" when nothing's recording. Then it went down to only showing one tuner and there was no option to stop recording only "watch now". Then it told me I couldn't do a signal test because I would interupt....a signal test! It said I was recording one.
I reset it and the "acquiring guide data" would not go away.
