It is a message board for people who build there own LCD projectors usually for under $300.
What's the image like? I doubt it could be very good.
Nevermind, it looks like it's just a home-build projection panel for an overhead. These things used to be available commercially (as they even admit:
"Q: Why haven't the projector companies done this if it is so cheap?
A: They used to make these panels for several thousand dollars but people wanted portability so they started to make compact projection units. The ones that retail today for several thousand."
I remember actually using these things, the quality is TERRIBLE, strong colour casts and weak image from the overhead projector lamp, poor focus and brightness uniformity. Sure, a really good overhead projector may help this, but don't expect to get a decent image. And a really good overhead costs money too...
There's a reason these things (when commerciall available) left the market - they're worthless.
