Signal pirates beware. The DBS prividers have come up with new electronic counter measures in order to prevent signal theft. Here are a few:
10. The PVR you hacked recorded the program.... in 30 second parts.
9. Your receiver can only tune in channels that are a prime number.
8. Any channel number you enter is scrambled to make a new channel number.
7. The video is the channel you want, but the audio is from the alternative language track of another channel on the same transponder.
6. The volume control on the remote changes the channel.
5. You're watching Friends, but in the middle, the receiver switches to a old Charlie Chat rerun, and you've removed the batteries from the remote.
4. A screen comes up saying "Would your mother be proud of what you are doing?"
3. Even though the guide says "WWF Wrestling", every channel you tune in appears to be the weather channel.
2. The erotic channels have strange dialogue with lines like "I love sexy men who pay for their cable viewing." and "Credit Card Autopay is so sexy."
