Is there an adapter that will convert a 480p signal from Component cables to a 480i signal with an S-video output?

I saw this same topic on another forum (google 'component to s-video adapter') that provides help with videos. One of the suggestions was to get a dvd recorder that would accept component input and would output through s-video.

Are there DVD players with 480P inputs?
I'll explain what I'm trying to do.
I want to to buy the new PSP when it is released later this month. The main reason I haven't bought one before now is I can't stand playing on that tiny screen-it gives me headaches. I heard the new one will have a TV output, but it will output ONLY in 480P. My Tv has Component inputs, but they're limited to 480I only.

I do believe there are such DVD recorders but mine only accepts 480i.
