Is there a satellite solution for me?

I keep trying but have not yet found a solution for switching to satellite so I find this forum and decide why not ask the experts.

Here are my needs:
3 DVR's - I know this sounds excessive but we live in a 2 family household with elderly parents so I need the extra DVR.
3 children so 3 more standard boxes - each like to watch their own programming

With Cable it was easy. If there is a cable line just check the signal level, plug in a box and your off. With satellite, as I understand, I will need to share signals between boxes, and may not be able to use 1 satellite, or even one billing package to accomplish this.
Let me know your thoughts please.

Your needs do not sound out of the ordinary. All 6 boxes should be able to be used independently. Using one dish and some multiswitches will get it done. Any professional installer can do this. If the existing wire is RG6 you may even be able to re-use it. Of course some additional wires may be necessary, DVRs are better when they have two feeds.
