Last night I had a problem. I have Alias and Sopranos set up to record weekly on my 721. Last night Alias wasn't on and I wanted to record a program on another channel. After the recording started I cancelled it and tried to record another channel. A box popped up and told me there was a conflict with the Sopranos which at that time was recording on the other channel. I figured I would cancel The Sopranos and set up both shows as a single event. It then would'nt let me record either show no matter what I tried to do(no red light). I finally went in and deleted the weekly time and I finally was able to record Martin and Lewis.
My questions are:
Is there an easier way to do this?
Why did it pick the HBO channel instead of the channel I cancelled?
Why couldn't I start up the Sopranos again?
Am I missing something or is this a bug.

I'm about to hook up my Dishplayer again.

Thanks for listening to my ravings

Bug, Bug, and Bugger the two tuners.

I had the exact same thing happen, When the clock icon popped up for Alias, I told it to "Stop Timer". I didn't stop the Sopranos though, but tried to record a different show. I tried everything, even the option to record up to timer, but nothing. It seems to look at the list of timers and doesn't differentiate canceled timers from regular timers. Hopefully this will be fixed in the 1.05 release.

It was frustrating. I also told my wife to pretend it only had one tuner in it for now, until 1.05 comes out.

I also liked my Dishplayer when the EPG didn't make me do daily resets, etc... My Dishplay is unhooked as well, and I was going to make the cerimonial running over it with my SUV.
