Merger hopefuls EchoStar Communications Corp. and DirecTV Inc. parent Hughes Electronics Corp., are attempting to skirt a protracted hearing before an administrative law judge at the Federal Communications Commission.

They aren't "dodging" anything. They are seeking an expedited hearing. For Platinum: (That means they want to hurry up the hearing). :rolleyes:

The site in just the way they post the article is trying to shed a bad light on something that happens all the time. They want to speed up the process and not have to go through weeks or months of hearings to make their case.

I really dis-like disingenious reporting..

Check that sites's associations page, virtually all cable companies for the most part. (is that a surprise based on the way the headline the article)
