721 "Acquiring Satellite Signal"

Do all of you with 721's have the problem with "acquiring satellite signal", it's frustrating, and it appears like it comes from the same tuner most of the time?

I've noticed a similar issue that is likely a bug.

While I don't have a problem in general with 'acquiring signal', I have seen it during an event recording. The unit apparently does not handle the loss of signal very well when recording; the fast forward does not move well through the "signal lost" portion of the recording. The timer showing progress (position of the recording) does not progress, but jumps around.

As for your issue, are you using DP LNBs ? I had the signal loss problem before upgrading my LNBs. I also replaced all my RG6 with the new LNBs, so I guess it really could have been either. You might want to place a cable tester on your cable runs. Just an idea.

Jason, I ran brand new cabling when I purchased the721, and yes I've rechecked that as well, I did purchase a new Quad legacy LNB.......:shrug:
