I was checking out my guide for the MLBEI HD chans (94,95, 730,731) and noticed there are no games on tonight or tomorrow night. Does this have anything to do with the new sat being parked and testing or are they just being lazy about it now that football season is upon us?

They are probably pacing themselves. There were 4 on last night.

Today's schedule of game is:
Angels
Orioles
4:05pm Preview
Padres
Dodgers
7:10pm Preview
Yankees
Blue Jays
4:07pm Preview
Devil Rays
Mariners
7:05pm Preview
Rangers
Athletics
7:05pm Preview
Cardinals
Reds 4
5 F Stats
Rockies
Phillies
4:05pm Preview
Cubs
Astros
5:05pm Preview
Of those, only the Yankees and Red Sox are usually full time HD. YESHD is off the air until further notice, due to a fire in the building they are in. Dodgers might be in HD if it is on KCAL9 locally, but D* does not have an HD feed of that channel. So there might not be any HD games to show.

I was wondering what's going to happen next year when MLB Extra Innings comes back on. According to DTV, RSN's will be broadcasting in HD, where available. I purchased MLB EI and Superfan package to get two games a night in HD. I am only concerned about the Red Sox. If NESN is broadcast nationally in HD I would not have to purchase the superfan. Right now when the Red Sox play home games and some away games DTV unlocks 623(NESN) and also retransmits it on 73*. If they continue to unlock NESN next year will I receive it in HD?
I know it's long winded but hopefully it came out clear????

The Devil Rays at Mariners will be in HD on FSN NW and the Padres at Dodgers will be in HD on FSN Prime Ticket. So there are at least two games in HD.

I'm sure that we'll need to purchase Superfan to get the HD games--if we had to this year, don't see why they would change when more games will be available in HD. I would imagine it would probably work the same as the SD does now -- watch it on NESN or the EI channel when NESN's broadcast is being used. (To be clear, they don't actually re-transmit, it is the NESN signal mapped to an EI channel for the duration of the game.)

Also Rangers-A's on FSN-Bay Area.
If D* wanted to get really creative, they could show the Sportsnet HD broadcast of the Yankees game -- but I haven't ever seen them use a Canadian HD source, only SD.

MLBEI HD promises 10 games in HD per week. They have already shown 11 in 3 days this week. They don't promise games every day. Many Thursdays are light days on the MLB schedule so it's a good day not to show extra games.

Friday's Red Sox-Yankees game is also scheduled on EI 95 and 73. Bringing this week's 10 games up to 12.

Yeah, but 73 is ESPN, which is available to everyone in HD... right? I didn't sub to EI/SF just because all this HD crap needs to work itself out. I watch the sox on mlb.tv (700kb/s) feed whish is actually very good. That also allows me to watch anywhere I have an internet connection.
I look at it this way... If I subscribe to the sports pack, which includes NESN (in HD), It should NOT be blacked out when they show a game. I know, I know, it's not D*, it's MLB, or the Sox, or my local team... whatever, I've heard the excuses... it still doesn't make it right.
I'd pay $150 to see ONLY the Red Sox in HD. I'm sure I'm not the only one either (with various teams).
Oh well...

I hope this new sat can have nearly all the games in hd next year

95 is one of the EI/SF feeds, it mirrors 731 and tonight's game is on that as well as ESPN HD

From what I've read, if the game is in HD next season, it will be offered in that format, I can't wait as well!
