So you wanna know why we haven't got the HD channels yet, huh? Heard rumors of DirecTV's newest satellite having "severe" technical issues, have you? Well, looks like it's true. Over the skies of New Mexico Thursday night was seen this extremely bright fireball. Many scientists believe it was space junk burning up in the atmosphere. "Probably DirecTV's newest satellite. We have 70 HD channels, you know," snickered Echostar's Charlie Ergen.
