Maybe it's just me, but I would think D* would WANT to give a date as it would give them something to advertise in concrete form. Just covertly turning on new channels when you've been hyping new capacity for over a year seems like a very odd way to go.:nono2:

I took the site out of my web browser and the only time I've visited in the last few months was to answer a PM and then to turn off PMs. I've moved on from both TiVo and the forum. It's dawned on me that it's a very metro-centric site and I'm in a very small city. It was a great learning experience, but I was never really of the mind that TiVo was the only DVR solution and I now find that I miss more of the HR20 functions when I'm using my D-TiVos than vice versa. I really don't want to go to a forum to see folks savage the HR20, most of whom would never give it a fair shake, and try to defend it. Their loss.

Yea somehow the most liberal people on the planet took over that site (this coming from a left leaning moderate). Most everyone I know left that site b/c they were disgusted by the "happiness" of the site.

The only forum I visit over there is "Now Playing - TV Show Talk" and that gets to be a bit much for me sometimes. There is discussion going on now about whether Denis Leary is considered good looking. And it's mostly guys responding. OK. Next thread.

I am with you man.:grin: I just hooked up my seagate 750 gig and connected my HR20 to the internet. LET THEM RIP! :D BTW I love HGTV and Food network. Also can't wait for FX and USA. Monk in HD. Live is good.;)

Hmm... looks to me like they have delivered on every major aspect of the project all along. There has been a delay on the next group of locals, I'll grant anyone that; but every other major milestone: new equipment; new satellites (5 in that time, number 6 in a few months); local HDs for many DMAs covering 70% of the population; and new HD nationals presently.

So I don't understand how you might feel scammed, especially as the dawn is just about to break on all this.
