So I was reading over the T&Cs of the protection plan. It says "The term of this Plan runs for one year from the Plan Effective Date. The term of this Plan runs for one year from the Plan Effective Date noted above and is renewed automatically for additional one year periods."

Now under Utah Residents, it says "The term of this Plan runs for thirty days from the Plan Effective Date noted above and is renewed automatically for additional 30 day periods."

Sounds like the 1 year contract for the service plan doesn't apply to Utah residents, do you guys agree? Not that I want to cancel I'm just curious.

Sounds like Utah law doesn't allow the contract to run for more than 30 days at a time and doesn't allow a commitment for more than 30 days for this kind of service.

That would be fun trying to convince the CSR that!

I'm a CSR, and AFAIK there are no mentions in the online CSR scripts with regards to the PP and Utah law. Interesting point, Gregory.

I wonder if they computer would automatically not charge the fee? I'm sure there could be some legal implications if they won't waive the fee for me if/when I cancel.
