I will be taking down my 3 lnb dish and installing a new 5 lnb slimline tomorrow.
My zipcode is 24551.
I used my H20 receiver set for 5 lnb to determine the initial settings for the new dish as follows:
Tilt : 63
Azimuth : 223
Elevation: 41
These settings are more than 1 degree different from than those I got from dish aligment charts. Should I believe the H20 settings?
My city is right on the boderline of the 110/119 Zone setting shown on page 13 of the installation book. Is there a better way to calculate Zone setting position?
Since the dish is a different shape and has a wider viewing angle than the 3 LNB dish, I'd believe the H20's 5lnb pointers. Course, those are rough numbers and need fine tuning when the dish is up.

The 5-LNB and 3-LNB dishes have very different alignment settings. That's because the 3-LNB was aimed at the 110-deg satellite (in between the 101 and 119-deg satellites), while the 5-LNB dish is aimed at the 101-deg satellite.

Do you have a meter?
While you will be able to install and get usable signal from the 101/110/119 slots just using the receiver, to get peak signal on the 99 & 103, you will need a signal meter.

My dish is actuallu an AU-9 not an AT-9. Does the AU-9 require zone settings.? How can they be claculated?

You Need to make sure the mast is level. Then you realy need to didther all the settings and when you skew the dish it should be skewes with a signal meter not just setting it on 63 or what every your zip calls for.
