New HD Programming - Will it be automatic?

Within the next few days, we all should be seeing some wonderful long expected channels appearing in our channel line-ups.

My question:

Will the channels just "show up"? Will we need to reset the receiver before we can view them? Why haven't I received any word from D* on this yet? What do the customer who don't browse DBSTALK do if receivers do need to be reset and they have no clue that there are new HD channels?

I mean, other than DBSTalk, I have not seen any of the HD hype advertised anywhere else....

Are you sure? I though in the past new channels have automatically populated themselves in my favorites list. Even this weekend when I enabled the VOD, the 1000's channels were added to my edited lists automatically. And I thought that when they added Chill it added automatically?
