I have D* HD but I would like discovery-HD and CBS-HD I qualify for CBS-HD.

Can I run the Dish 6000 with only the 61.5 dish....... or do I need to set up another dish for the 119 and 110?

Thanks,

-Greg

Hi Greg Welcome to DBSTalk :hi:

Yes, you can just run a 6000 to a dish pointed at 61.5, you don't need access to 110 or 119, unless you want core and premium programming, but since you already have D* you probably won't. Since you won't be taking a core package you'll have to pay an extra $4.99/month access fee.

Thanks .... has anyone heard of any rumors of E* lighting up any HD on the 119 or 110?

Well the only concern I would have is if the 6000 update software spools off of 61.5 or does it come from all the satellites or just the main 119/110.

The s/w is spooled from core locations as well as the side slots.

Well I have heard this rumour.

It seems to make sense to put future HDs on E*8 @110 since it is the one bird that covers CONUS + A & H(?) so they wouldn't have to mirror them on both 61.5 & 148 thus conserving BW.
