Triple LNB Help [Archive]

I just installed a Samsung SIR-TS160 DirectvHD receiver and put up an RCA Triple LNB dish. I have aligned it and am picking up on Sat A but am not getting a signal on Sat B and Sat C. I don't have any splitters in the line, already tried a hard reset and can't get anything to work. If anyone could help I would appreciate it.

This diagram may help..... you need a multi-switch and make sure your receiver is set for SAT A+B+C.

I was under the impression that my dish had a multiswitcher built in and all I had to do was hook up 1 cable from the antenna to the receiver.

There is newer model made by Channel Master? Do you have a model Number?

You are correct you have the newer model. But make sure you have the 3 position set in your Samsung ...... I not sure of the menus with that Samsung model where to set for 3 position ....

I have it set for an Oval dish with 3 LNBs and I can check the signal strength on the three but only get a signal (near 100%) on 101 but nothing at 110 and 119

Mark, Pete here(psb2usa) I told you you would get some good help here..One more question........I guess you have called directv and told them to turn on the HD channels for you? I am grasping at straws here : ) Sorry you havent got it goin yet!

I called them at first sign of trouble and they told me my Samsung SIR-TS160 DirecTV HD multisatellite receiver wasn't an HD or multi satellite receiver at all. They then told me to call Samsung (which of course isn't there today or tomorrow or this weekend).

Mark! Let us Know what the problem was........ 4 cables from dish to 4 recievers, are possible with the above dish/3lnb.
