I have service, but meters are not working. Is this me or is Directv stopping it?

I wonder if it is signal testing or attempt to stop pre-mature screwing around of dishes?

Did your reciever lock up?

I've had my HR20-700 (4 days old) lock up trying to check signals. Exit or Back would not get out of it. Menu would come up and I could reset from there.

Of course, I had to try again. Seems like every other attempt at checking signals it locks up. Next time should be ok, so I'm going to hold off till tomorrow.:sure:

I am doing a reset, but my gut says they are up to something.

I have a hr20-700 mine has been doing that a lot lately. Seems to do it after I receive a showcase. I have been reseting the receiver and it works fine after that.

My signal meters are just fine. And it looks like TP 1-3 were turned on on 103(b)! And my TP 5 is stronger again! Yippee!! :)

Not only ARE my signal meters working, but 103b is working and it has never done that before (even though all transoponders have been since yesterday)...new HD is VERY close!!

Same problem yesterday, tried to check, and nothing would show for any of the sats.. But programming was fine. I did an RBR and it was fine again..

Last night I tested the signal strength of 103(b) on my HR20-100, got excellent readings, then exited setup. About an hour later, when I attempted to record a show, I got a message asking me if I wanted to interrupt signal strength testing (or something to that effect). I tried to exit out but couldn't and was forced to do a reset. Afterwards, every thing worked fine.

Sounds like my choice of testing signal strength on a D20 receiver versus my DR20-700 is a good choice.

I can't seem to get audio on my signal meters on the HR20-700. Am I missing something?

I've only had the problem on my HR20-700. A reboot corrects the problem.

It has not occurred on my HR20-100 nor on either of my H20-600's.
