Lexmark Photo Cartridge

Hey guys, I can't find my printer manual. I bought a Photo cartridge for my Compaq printer at Sears today. Anyone with a Compaq or Lexmark printer know which cartridge the photo replaces, the color or black. Thanks

I don't have one of those printers, but I'll assume it's the black. That would be typical of almost all printers. The photo cartridge usually contains black, as well as lighter colours (light magenta and cyan).

Are the cartridges the same size? You figure they would make it so you can't confuse the cartridges when replacing them?

Yep, usually black, but check the Compaq site for your model printer, you can probably get the info you need there.

Yep it's black, thanks guys. All black, color and photo cartridges for Lexmark (Z-Series) and Compaq (IJ-Series) printers are the same size.
