Was briefly over at the HD Anticipation thread and things seem to be getting a little heated over there.
I was up at the crack of dawn this morning looking forward to cranking up some new HD channels as were many of us.
It's now 8:30AM and there are no signs of any new activity other than the transponders on 103B being fired up.
Lots of information coming from lots of sources, none of which really know anything.
The only thing we know is that so far today we have no new HD channels, but the day has just begun and maybe we will see something before the day is up and then again we may have to wait a few more days.
It is disappointing, but it isn't the end of the world. We didn't lose anything overnight (except maybe some sleep) and we are adults and can deal with a little disappointment.
It isn't as if D10 was shot out of the sky.
I would suggest that we get back to our regularly scheduled lives, stop bothering CSR's who aren't going to tell you anything you do not already know. When any "official" announcements are made, I am sure that Earl & company will let us know.
In the meantime, we can help out people who are newbies and somewhat confused by all the goings on. Last night, I heard from someone who thought he had BBC problems because he could not connect to the satellite on Ch 499. Didn't understand that it meant he was good to go.
It's in DirecTV's best interests to get things rolling as soon as possible. In the meantime... some of us haven't seen sunshine in several days... give your fingers a rest and go outside... the sun's up!!
Happy to be a part of dbstalk!!!:)
