Repeat or Rerun?

Just upgraded from the R15 to the HR20 and was disappointed to find that the guide on the HR20 does not show if the program is a repeat or not, on the R15 you were told if it was a repeat! Is this a known problem that will be addressed or not?

The general request for more guide data is in the wish list I believe. But the specific request for repeat status I think is only addressed in the issues thread when recording.

Actually I do get some "First Run" indications in my guide. It can take several days for guide data to fully populate. It seems to come in waves, the first wave having very minimal information.

But I do agree, I wish there were more guide data.

It's been almost 2 months, so I would assume I'm getting all the data there is to get by now, but still not showing repeats! If your checking the guide for something to watch or tape you need to know if they are repeats or not, your memory doesn't always serve you!

If the GUIDE data simply retained the ORIGINAL AIR DATE info, like the HR10, it would be pretty simple for D* to automatically deduce the "repeat" status of the upcoming showing. /steve

Does D* have two sources of guide data, one for Tivos and one for their own systems? I always assumed they were the same.

Earl can answer this better than me, but I believe they both draw from TMS (Tribune Media Service), and TiVo themselves manage the HR10 GUIDE database, while D* manages the HR20's. /steve
