View Full Version : If you have a PVR 501/508 and NBA League Pass please help

I have a PVR 508 and I subscribe to NBA League Pass. When I playback a recorded game, the playback is marred with extensive pixelation, and momentary freezeups. The symptoms are displayed at least once every couple of minutes. After a freeze-up, it skips ahead a couple of seconds. This happens only when I playback a recorded game, it does not occur on other channels or when I watch a game live.
If you have this receiver and NBA League Pass, please record a portion of a game to see if you have the same troubles. My PVR is 2 months old and in perfect condition. Tech support has been no help so far.

Have you tried resetting the receiver? Push in the Power button for about 5 seconds. When you see the red record light come on, release it. The 501/508's still have lots of bugs and if they are not reset every other week or so, they go bananas. Wouldn't hurt to try it.

I have a 508 and it works quite well with no bugs whatsoever on those channels? I would say it is your unit? or your connection into the 508..A larger cable in might help? Check your switch? Contact E*..there was one of my DP's that had to be reset to recieve League pass?..then after that it worked just fine? Hope that helps??? :shrug:

Thanks for letting me know that...it helps. Now just for clarification you did record a portion of a game and then watch the playback right? Because mine is perfect on those channels also if I watch "live" game. The troubles only occur during playback of a recorded game.
