I get them on both, H20 and HR20-700. I have yet to check it on my HR20-100 and won't be able to check until 5:30 pm when I get to my cottage.

At work now, but before I left (and read the posts) I was getting a gray screen on my HR20-100 in glorious 720p---FWIW...heheheeee. I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve. Is that reindeer I hear on the roof?

For those without, is there a difference between CE and non-CE software?

I'm running the last CE, 0x19a and have no problems.

Works like it should on my H20. I am using diplexers with the BBC ahead of them. No multiswitch.

I'm not running CE and still showing Gray screen. I haven't tried anything mentioned because I'm at work now.

No joy on either HR20.

The HR20 (1080) connected to a SWM gets a gray screen and the HR20 (720) using BBC's gets a black screen.

As I sat here at work anxiously waiting for 4pm to arrive so I could run home and check CH 498, it suddenly dawned on me, HEY my wife is sitting home waiting for the A/C guy to come by and do annual maintenance. So lo and behold, I had an idea. She is pretty handy with a remote control. Why not have her tune to CH 498 to put my mind at rest.

Viola...my wife said Congratulations and that was all I needed to hear even though she proceeded to read the rest of the msg. to me.:joy: :joy: :joy:

And please no jokes about the wife and the A/C guy. It's legit.

Ready to roll here! Channel looks good.

I wonder how many people that cannot see ch.498 are capable of tuning to other MPEG4 channels. People with issues seeing ch.498 should also post details on their local (D* feed) MPEG4 channels. Do they even have (D* feed) MPEG4 locals? Perhaps some people have their satellite setup to 3LNB instead of the correct 5LNB within their receiver's menu. I've seen a D* installer make this mistake firsthand on my brother in-laws system. The correct dish was used; the HR20 was simply not setup properly.

HR20-100 in the bedroom is fine but the HR20-100 in the living room has a black screen along with the local HD channels. The SD channels locals are good.

those with multiple boxes that behave diffferently: cable swapping do anything? BBC swapping? Both sat feeds tried (tune 498, 72,73,498)?

My older HR20-700 shows the slide just fine. I just had a second HR20-700 installed this week that doesn't show it. Both are on the national release. Both are in the same cabinet with about 30-40 ft of coax connecting them to the satellite. No multiswitch in use - direct to the dish. Both units passed the 499 searching for satellite test so I assume that the bbcs were a-ok. Signal strength in the 70s/80s.

On the unit that doesn't work, I tried swapping tuners by recording two shows and alternately stopping the recordings and tuning to 498. Still no slide. The unit shows the channel as a blank screen with native mode set to 780P. I visited the directv link to reset my service - also no change. I have not seen the zero billing charges on my recent activity, but I would think that if this was the problem it would effect both units. I am located outside Richmond, VA. The MFG date on the new HR20 was in July. Hope this helps in the troubleshooting.
