The Latin America, Mexico and Brazil divisions of Directv were all sold by AT&T in 2021. The cash from the sale of those high profit, high growth potential divisions was retained by AT&T. Those assets are no longer a part of Directv.
I have created a new version of Doctor J's DirecTV Satellite Transponder/PID Channel Grids that expands the chart of transponder content to all transponders on DirecTV's US satellites, including all spotbeams. It can be found HERE.
FYI several channels (the ones which were affected by today's outage) have moved transponders; I don't know if this was the cause of the problems, or part of the fix.

According to KyL416 on today's issue thread, the channel movments may have caused the problem for some reason, but was necessary to create the necessary bandwidth for the interactive features attached to the channels participating in the upcoming "Election HQ Mix" (ch. 347).

Well I agree it certainly doesn't "seem" related P. Smith. And I admit that I personally can't see why there would be a relation to APG data not being transmitted. But the timing of all this started when DIRECTV began moving channels around to different XNPDRs in preparation of the upcoming Election HQ Mix channel launch on Monday.
Usually when they swap ("remap") channels around on the transponders, they make the corresponding changes to the APG data, and send a refresh signal to all the receivers. Something didn't go right with that process. I saw somewhere that that they had to go back to SD logos to get it up again. Speculation: They may have been transmitting an APG that was somehow corrupt. By around noon Eastern time, I noticed the problem. CNNHD ( which was probably receiving the Golf channel feed) had a slate up saying they knew they had a problem. The channels remained available on the their SD counterparts because they hadn't moved, and the stale guide info was OK.
Doctor J. reported that there was no info being transmitted for the APG and tuning info.
Sometime around 1:00 PM, I turned on my HR-24, and it reported that it had received no guide data for over 7 hours. So this was supposed to be a middle of the night channel remapping, that went terribly wrong. I will update the TPN grid as soon as I can get a new capture from Doctor J.
I'm inclined to think about last night was a major disaster in APG maintenance chain...
under no circumstances PIDs with APG never been stop transmitting, regardless if the SI was right or wrong
as we see by last event's outcome - STB FW is useless if no APG data streaming
as to balancing tpns or/and reampping channels - it happened 1000 times since APG with MPG or alone was in use - I wouldn't mix them, perhaps it was chain reaction, but I see its chances with very low probability
what should happened if system info stop transmitting ? some APG internal server was down ? then stanby backup must take the task...
will wait what internal source will squeeze out about the event
so far officially posted info doesn't look as real, most likely it's came for lamers
Just updated post #1 with a new TPN Map of data from 11/6/2016 - Sunday.
We typically post the TPN Map each Wednesday, so this Sunday map is a little different perspective of the world. In this view, many CINE-HD channels have been taken down and all the NFL SundayTIcket sports channels are up in operation.

There were some channels remapped to new transponders and PIDs in the Eastern NC area this week. The average subscriber wouldn't notice, but I was curious because it affected UNC-EX in my lineup in the Greenville-Washington-New Bern (NC) Market, and there was a number of remappings for Wilmington, NC to my south. In Wilmington they moved Channel 4, WWAY-DT2, from D12, TID 155 to D14 TID 72, where the rest of Wilmington's locals are. This is currently the CW station in Wilmington. I was puzzled by the fact that there is another CW station listed for at least some Wilmington customers, Channel 22, a virtual of WLFLDT in Raleigh. I searched and found that WWAY-DT2 will become the local CBS affiliate on January 1, 2017.
While moving channel 4 to D14, they reassigned all the PID numbers for the other Wilmington stations on their spot beam (TID 72 on D14). The move of Channel 4 opened up bandwidth on D12 TID 155. They moved UNC-EX from TID 164 to TID 155 on D12 (same beam). UNC-EX is the subchannel of the statewide PPS station WUNC. UNC and UNC-EX are each on two transponders in order to cover the all of NC and the surrounding areas that receive UNC. The UNC and UNC-EX stations on D12 beam A4B1 cover 5 markets in the Eastern half of North Carolina.
Minor addition, but my "anonymous source" at the time confirmed the WD service to G3C is uplinked from the CBC. And though was outside his area of responsibility, as far as he knows the uplink to D5 is coming from the LABC which would be logical since the program content is really is just a mirror of three Ku CONUS XNPDRs from 101W which originate from the LABC.
So I guess it's safe to now include these as uplink sites in the "Domestic Transponder Map" under the D5 & G3C tab.
By CBC did you mean Castle Rock? No, I got it. California Broadcast Center , which is the same receive beam as LABC. One of my "back burner" projects is to publish the receive beam footprints for all the satellites that have filed them with the FCC, in Google Earth format. I created a way to do that months ago, but it hasn't been a priority.
