Vip622 loss of signal problems

Over the past two weeks, I've been getting a ton of "Complete Signal Loss"; "Partial Signal Loss"; "Channel Signal Loss"; and "Signal Loss On HD Channel, Switching to SD Equivalency" messages.

When I press "Menu"
then press "System Setup"
then press "Installation"
and press "System Info"

When "Status" finishes updating, "Status" says "Error! Select "Details" (also Satellite 129 has a big red "X")

I then highlight "Details" and press.

When I press down arrow, a lot of "You are currently experiencing signal loss on tuner 1" and "You are currently experiencing signal loss on tuner turner 2" problems are listed.


What is causing these issues?

I have a Vip622 DVR and I'm located in Zip Code 92504.

On the "Point Dish" menu, what should these settings be:

  • Zip Code
  • Dish System
  • Tuner Input
  • Transponder
  • Satellite

At the top of the menu, it says "To calculate Dish 500 Peak Angles, enter your Zip Code and select satellite 110 or 119.

The built in numbers are only for the specific dish listed. To get the angles for your dish (which should be some flavor of Dish 1000) see the manual for the dish or go to dishpointer.com and pull up the results for 110-119-129.
