I just moved into a new home and Directv was amazing in getting me set up and running.
Only problem is that now when I record an On Demand Program I can only watch it on the HR24-500 that I recorded it on. It shows up on the other receiver playlists with a red circle error indicator. When you select the program on the other DVRs it does not have a play option only Keep, Delete, Other Showing, or Done.
Any suggestions as to why On Demand Programs will not play on other Receivers that are part of Whole Home?
Sorry for the long delay, just moved and I'm pooped!!
The issue has been between HR24/500s. I did have Directv come out and they ended up saying that some content is restricted by the different stations. However it never seemed to be a problem before. I understand that PPV can be restricted to the original received it was requested on but not American Dad.
This has been happening to me for a couple of months now. However, it is not consistent with regard to channel or DVR. It does appear to be consistent with episodes of a given show. I've recorded On Demand shows on my HR44 and both of my HR24's. Sometimes those recordings are viewable via MRV and other times they are not.
I've remotely set recordings of every episode in a series, to both the HR44 and one of my HR24. Some episodes were viewable via MRV and others weren't. But, the "MRV viewability" of those episodes were consistent across both of the DVR's.
I believe PPV On Demand will only work on the DVR it is recorded to if you order it with your remote. That is why it is recommended to set it to record from your phone or computer.
But On Demand shows from regular cable channels should work fine with MRV, I've never had this issue. Can you tell us what show/episodes you are having trouble with and maybe someone else can try it on their equipment?
I was originally trying to set up "60 Days In" and found that I would request it from my office and then later that night try to watch it from another HR24/500 in our Family Room and it had a red circle by it and wouldn't even give me the play command, just keep and delete. I tested with American Dad and it did the same thing. Some one else mentioned logging into Directv and request the shoe. I'm going to try that.
Thanks for responding and sorry for the long delay, I've moved and been a little busy!!
Ive been getting the same issue with HR24-500 and HR24-200, it started a couple of months ago. Pretty much everything on History channel and ID channel that I can remember right now, I know there were a few more.
