I have a 921 and an 811 that I purchased. I have a leased 622.. I have the Everything Package and the $20 HD package. Its been at least a year since I upgraded to the 622. Why did you get a 622 instead of the 722? I would like to make a similar arrangement and keep my 921. But I want to...

I have the same switches and will be making the same changes. The 622 will be going to where the 921 is in the living room and the 921 will go to the bedroom. I have two cascaded Dish Pro 34 switches. I have two coxes going into the bedroom feeding an 821 and 501. The 921 will take their...

I ordered on 3/01/06 with an install scheduled of 2/28/06. I haven't received it yet. I called Dish, it has been sent but unable to verify tracking#. Perhaps I misunderstood the number, rep had an accent and some of the numbers or letters were difficult to understand.

My install date is 2/28 also.

I don't have the 942 but I had asked this question on threads of this forum. It was able to output anamorphic over composite ( and one other one). I am hoping the 622 can output anamorphic as well. I assume it can. Please verify when it is evaluated on this site. I have a 921 and have...

The next big demand for the 622 will come from existing customers that own their own equipment and will be using it for a credit or a trade in after April 1st. I am wondering if Dish will hold off giving the 622 to the retailers until this is completed .

I purchased the 921 on 1/11/04. If I recall, I was one of the first people to have one in their possession. I don't remember any leased ones being out at that point (for that matter were they purchase only?). I have an install date of 2.28/06 for a leased 622. I am putting the 921 in the...

I have seen lease threads but when can anyone purchase one?

I have had one since Jan 2004. No major problems. I had to reboot it a few times but that is it. Caller ID problems with some of the earlier downloads. Every thing has been good now for months.

Its incouraging to me to hear that it is working well. Never no when it will happen to my original 921, also purchased in Jan 2004. I'm with you. Not getting any new receivers until the MPEG4.

I could take a year but I am going to wait for the MPG4 DVR to come out. Until then if it breaks I will try a replacement. It doesn't get a whole lot of use. I may record about six hours a week and there not usually while I am watching anything and never two recordings at once. I have a...

Thank you. I presently own a 921, 501, 811, 301 and a 311. I hope by November Dish will at least announce a plan for MPEG4 (like an upgrade offer for the 811).

Is there any use for that at home? I only have one computer but may get a laptop in 2006. I guess its for file sharing. I am a newbie. Self taught from forums like this one. Thank you for your patience.

The first one I bought in January 2004 is still going strong also.

I found www.newegg.com is a good place to go for an external hard drive. I am not sure what the "network drive" means. I purchased an External HD 300 GB/Mastor E01G300. The integrated Interace includes: FireWire, IEEE 1394, i.Link and SB_2 compliant . External 6 pin 1394 connectors( 2)...

Can you point me to the thread that has the model # and some of the specks of the first MPEG4. I am planning on purchasing a new DVD recorder by then and need to know more about its inputs and outputs. I am assuming a DVD recorder with component inputs in addition of S would be a good idea. I...

Did you get a replacement for the 921. New or refurbished? How is it working?
  18. Other HD Receiver Support Forum (811, 921, 942)
I am still on my first 921 that I purchased in January of 2004. What about you?
  19. Other HD Receiver Support Forum (811, 921, 942)
That is a lot of DVD's to watch in a month. Perhaps I will phrase it another way, May be you decided to "put them on the back burner" Perhaps I am projecting too much. Just trying to get a little laugh.

I just checked by bill to see if my $1.99 extended warranty is in affect; it is. I also have one of the first 921s that were produced. I purchased it in January of 2004. Don, did you watch the $185.00 worth of DVDs that you rented or did you....file them??? Smile.
