Without posting a transponder number, there's no way to know if the 88 is a good number or not - the numbers are NOT percentages! In addition, the numbers vary by receiver model, and even specific unit. Finally, a weak connector could be the cause.

Well, if you would tel lus what switch, receivers, etc. you have, maybe we could help.

Of course Chucky ignores (or is immune to) the standard rules about not charging a card until the product ships.

I would expect that they just get rid of that worthless message. There's no point in it.

That's all I know so far, except as usual it was real flaky after the reboot. Took a hard (pull power) reboot to settle it down.

Yeah - I've had this happen a couple of times over the last few months. Scary. :(

No. They simply don't care about us. After all, they got BIG $$$ from us, and figure by now we're smart enough to NOT give them any more.

I hear the Denver 5 has been reincarnated as the Denver 8 on 4DTV.

Wrong. It's not a problem - when you know what you're doing. I talked to yaz96 on the phone yesterday - he's got a crew coming out on Monday, and if they fail, I told him to have them leave the equipment and I'd come do it for him on Wednesday.

Yeah - DNSC still hasn't learned that odd & even transponders will show differently on DishPro systems. Even (1650-2150MHz) is more sensitive to cabling issues.

I tried to upload it for you but this forum won't allow it. Typical. :( EDIT: While helping someone else, I happened to run into a site that has it online: http://www.satelliteone.com/dish/support/support.html

You are correct. We have been told from several sources that it was NOT POSSIBLE to revert software. Just more E* lies.

That was me. Simple count when it rejects the 65th timer - just like the 721.

I'm with you Rice - but must mention a notable exception - Philips. Not only do you get a lot of bang for the buck, their service has been excellent. I had a minor problem with my 60" HD RPTV ad long story short, they couldn't find anyone willing to come out to the boonies to look at it. SO...

Guy's not only good, he's CRAZY! But on behalf of all the other installers out there, thank you! Tips are getting thin - "FREE, FREE, FREE" means people don't think about it, and when we have to collect activation money now on Club Theft, that kills any remaining chance of a tip.

One thing - my gut says the HECD models are more reliable and stable than the newer ones. ANYway, I'm fairly certain that a power button reboot does NOT remove power from the HDD. It is much more likely that it simply raises RESET on the bus. ;)
