Ok. My 722 just received the update, my 622 still hasn't.

Ok. I'm not in that range. I guess I'll just wait. :D

He's wrong. We put them in here all the time on the west coast.

Any word on which zipcodes? Also, anyone know if this release is going to have the user customizable folders like the 722k does? I installed a couple of them the last 2 weeks, and the new folders option is pretty cool.

My 622 is within that range and still hasn't gotten it.

That's a laugh. The Replay interface was far more intuitive and and elegant than the klunky, slow Tivo interface. It was also laid out much more logically, plus had features that took Tivo years to implement.

The ones who invented the DVR.

We use these really great mounts for tile roofs at Dish. They're called "Versitile Mounts". They cause no damage to the roof, and stands up to quite a bit of wind. http://www.versatilemount.com/versatilemount/products.htm

I agree when it comes to broadcast networks, as advertisements are their sole source of revenue. However, I feel less sympathy for cable networks. We pay through the nose for these channels, and are still subjected to the same amount of ads as broadcast networks. And as my Dish bill keeps going...

They just connect all the inputs to a multiswitch. The switch routes the proper signal accordingly.

What he's talking about is a DPP seperator. It's not really a splitter. And yes, Dish has had single line capabilities for dual tuner receivers for years.

Power is irrelevant. The Force is irrelevant. You will be assimilated.

    How did you divine that?
  15. General DISH™ Discussion
Not exactly. With Dish, no. They can coexist fine providing two things. 1. Good quality diplexers. 2. No backfeed on the same line. If you are already diplexing a backfeed you will not be able to combine the cable modem signal on that line, as you will have interference. DirecTV is another...

I'm only recounting what I've seen. I've seen very few decent looking plasmas, and I see HDTVs every day. Plasmas seem to me to have a grainer picture with more tendancy toward screen door effect and aliasing. But maybe I'm looking for something in an HD picture that other people aren't. I'm...

I've seen Plasmas ranging from Visios to Pioneer Elites. And it's usually the same. Oddly enough, the only plasma I've seen with good color transition and minimal aliasing was a cheap Visio. Most other plasmas I've seen magnify picture imperfections greatly, and only look good from a sizeable...

What, are you 5? I don't set them up. I install the satellite system and connect it to the TV that is already there. There are a very limited number of settings you can change on the Dish system. Those are the only settings I touch due to liability. Depends on if you're talking about direct...

No he's not. Plasmas are the brightest, but they have the crappyest picture quality. In addition to all the burn in, heat and reliability issues of plasmas, they have what is called a "screen door effect" essentially the picture has the appearance of having mosquito netting over it. Not the...

They will likely be using a 1000.2 dish with a DPP Triple. That will handle up to 3 dual tuner receivers. Don't expect a DPP44 switch, as they are very expensive, and are not part of standard installation unless you have 4 sat locations. (i.e. 110, 119, 118.7, 129)
