Rich I didn't realize they could transition your account without your permission. Is that the case?

The HR24 needs the internet to be able to share shows. The cck allows an internet connection over the coax, so if you remove it and don't run an ethernet cable to the HR24, you will not be able to share shows.

I have my HR44 and my HR24s all connected directly to the internet and they connect and work just fine. I never had the connection kit and didn't need it because I already had an ethernet connection running to each DVR.

Another option would be to replace one of your devices with a HR24 and keep the HS17. You can attach an AM21 to the HR24 and get your OTA channels.

    Me too.

I also see pixilation on local channels in Salt Lake City. My belief is they are taking bandwidth from local channels and using it for football games and 4K broadcasts and whatever might draw a high number of watchers.

I've been using these in my home and I installed them in my neighbors and my sons house. They work great. https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Powerline-ethernet-Adapter-TL-PA4010KIT/dp/B00AWRUICG/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1544653402&sr=8-3&keywords=ethernet+over+powerline

I still have a HR44 and caller ID is working well. However, at some point I may want to go to the HS17 which has no phone jack. Does anyone know of a stand alone box that could sit in front of the TV that would display Caller ID in large enough num

DirecTV's caller ID works with VOIP from Comcast on my HR44.

I've had 1088 now for about a month. I started noticing series I record on my HR44 were missing episodes. I finally figured out that when watching a program in a folder and I hit the END button it sometimes takes me back into a different folder. If I am not paying attention and I hit the red...

I got the mail from D* saying it was coming and the it was downloaded to my HR44 early Wed morning. My wife and I really don't like it. Is there a way to sort the play list to alpha and make it stick?

I've been using a Monoprice 4X4 HDMI switch for 6 years with no problems. My longest HDMI cable run is 60 feet.

I currently have an HR44-500 and a new Samsung 4K RVU TV. I don't have a DECA, but I do have the HR44 and the TV connected to the same Ethernet switch. I can currently view recorded programs on my HR44 without the DECA however of course the HR44 won't record 4K. If I get an HR54, I assume I...

I have my Genie and other DVRs and my RVU TV all connected to my Ethernet switch and Whole Home works great. When I tried to enable RVU, I get an error message 54-472. Guess I'll get a deca adapter and try again.

I don't know which DVR you have, but the only ones that will support over 2 Tb are the Genies. I have always used WD green drives with great success.

Yes, TMPGEnc does re-encode the files from DirecTV DVRs and Multiavchd does not. Multiavchd does allow you to create a menu and it will link directly to ImgBurn (another free program) to burn the Blu-ray or AVCHD disc.
