Yeah it is such a bother to create the timers again. But there is a way around this, and when I'm done I may post the procedures. I currently us a Linksys NSLU2 to get around the need to re-create the timers.

That's how I do it. The HDD in my 942 is now external for ease of drive swapping. An added bonus is the drive runs cooler and internal temps in the box are cooler. It's a win/win situation.

I'm not real sure what your problem is, but if you don't need the 921 support forum feel free to skip right over it.

I wonder if connecting both drives to a Linksys NSLU2 would work also? Then you could map the drives in windows and move the files that way. Looks like I have some testing to do.

Why not, they had a way to push out a software update to my 942 with updates disabled.

Really? Has not worked for me. I'm still stuck with a 942 that was obsolete the same day I got it. And they want it and more money for me to upgrade to their next headache? To avoid being labeled "impolite" I'll leave it at that.

Lovely! And I suppose the customer is also to provide lunch when you get hungry? Bring your own damn drink! I'd like for you to bring that attitude to work for me. NOT! You do know that you don't have to do what is beyond your scope of work right? You probably expect a tip when you finish...

I had auto update turned off and woke up this morning to find my 942 in standby. After L285 my 942 was working just fine (that's why I turned off update). Now it seems I have somehow been force fed L288 and my 942 is worse off. 1) Caller ID is hit and miss. 2) Goes into standby no mater...

I guess I should have indicated better. Hey Dish Network, when can I expect to start seeing my superior level of service?

I have been with E* for over 8 years and find it appalling that all E* customers are not valued enough to receive a superior level of service. Sounds like nothing more than a gimmick! Hey Dish Network, when can I expect to start seeing my superior level of service?

So is that the new story? It used to be that some televisions were not following the HDMI specification.
