I agree about the lost functionality. I too use my Genie Go with a laptop. So I am loosing two things. The ability to take my HR21 recordings with me and all ability to use a laptop for Mobile DVR. One step forward, two steps back.

I am curious what happens with this. With the old Genie Go you could not do this. If a recording was in progress you had to watch from the beginning and could not fast forward. It would be a pleasant surprise if this feature was added.

Wel it's been more than a week with the DECA instead of using the HR44 as a bridge. No problems to report, all is well.

He seemed to know what he was talking about where there could be problems with the playlist. I never had any such problem. So you guys thing it's OK to go back to using the HR44 as the bridge?

I had a tech at my house this morning to hook up some equipment. Everything was working fine between my HR44 and two HR21s before and after the visit. WHDVR never gave me any problems. The tech noticed the Ethernet was wired directly to the HR44 and all of the other receivers are on the DECA...

I really wish DIRECTV would make this feature work in modern setups. I used to use it all of the time.

IR or RF? I have had two remotes programmed to an HR21 in the RF mode. Never tried three.

Chan up/down would be good. I know from experience if my wife sees no picture or some message the first thing she would do is channel up, so that works. Thanks guys.

Ok, so turn off power saver, that makes sense. I have seen the mystery screen saver myself, thanks for the tip on that. So, for sake of argument if a Mini does go to "sleep" would punching in a channel number wake it up?

I have a setup where I want one or two receivers to output a picture and sound 24/7. If I understand correctly the Genie Mini will time out after a while and no longer show a picture and sound.

Family Package is about $30/month. Fees for DVR, HD, etc. depends on the equipment you have in your house.

    It's a good idea.

I reativated with owned equipment. I got new customer pricing and no commitment. I also fit in to the old price structure. No fee for the first STB and $23 per month for DVR + HD + WH. Later on I accepted an upgrade to a Genie which was included in the win back deal. Good luck.

Program too big for Android Has anyone ever seen an issue where long recordings, 4 + hours, will not transfer to an Android phone? The Android phone I am using is an HTC Droid Incredible 2 running Android 2.3. These same recordings transfer fine to an iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4S. I would like...
