  4. DIRECTV Programming
Yeah terrible, directv needs to seriously consider completely dumping this guide and all code, and start over, my Dish 722k guide and overall speed was 10x faster and that was 3 years ago, embarrassing if you ask me...

Had a chance to play with the hopper guide @ blockbuster, and not only did it look better, had more time showimg but was also 10x faster than my HR34. There is no reason why directv can't have tje logos in the guide and speed it up, it was literally night and day speed wise.

Yeah there is no excuse adding a SD channel in 2012, we're already on the road to 4K and we are still getting SD channels, kids channel or not, this is unacceptable.

I'm actually kind of glad Directv pushed this out to the masses so they can see what a mess this supposed "HD" guide is. I've been saying since I got the GUI on my HR34 that it is a joke and sooo far behind FIOS. The options for the guide on fios are AWESOME and yes it does look true HD, I hope...

Trust me, all these snazzy features require very pricey contracts on Directv's part, so you betcha these costs are passed onto us the consumer...

Bingo! This is how it should be and how Dish Network does it, and frankly I really miss that feature from Dish. They even took it a step further and a third button press showed you your series manager. Directv, are you listening!!!???

I just want to profess my love for the HR34 now that I've had it for a few weeks, here's what is going on right now... -It's recording two shows -I'm watching a recorded show -Wife is downstairs warching a recorded show -I'm watching the Lakers live in PiP Oh, and all in HD... Ahhhh...

I believe you are referring to the "H25" and "H24" HD client boxes, no DVR involved with these. The H25 is almost half the size of the H24, it has an external power adapter, and it does not have the little LED showing the current resolution.
