Thanks. I found out later that it only supports up to 9 channels away from your home. It's nice to have at home but kinda useless on the road unless you really like one of those 9 channels. Maybe someday it will be expanded to every available channel.

I tried to watching via this app away from my home and can only get about nine channels as opposed to well over 50 when I am at home. Do you have to be near your own home router to be able to view all of the channels available or do you have to link up some other way? I am using a Kindle Fire...

Need to have a free preview to see if its worth subscribing to.

The free preview for MLB Extra Innings just ended for Fios. I was not impressed by how they do EI. None of the games were made available in HD. There were a few games that had both broadcasts but not many. Last night I tried to DVR the Reds/Dodgers game and it was cut off after an hour and 19...

What about cats? They need their own channel too. My cat is upset over this and just threw up a hairball.

One other thing about Fios that is good is that with the Ultimate package you get the NFL Redszone channel. You don't have buy the whole NFL package to get it like DTV makes you purchase. I'm looking forward to that this fall.

This was a small part of the reason I switched to Fios. It didn't look like DTV was going to have this available anytime soon. I won't be using it much until college football starts. It will work on the Kindle Fire, if you that device.

All the wiring in the house should be OK. They may need to run a line to your phone box on the outside of your house. I had to leave the gate open to my backyard for them to do this. It was done a couple of days before the in home part. They will install a box inside close to where your outside...

I had Fios TV installed Saturday. Everything went very well. The tech got there at just past 11 am. My window was 11 -2 pm.. So that was great. The install went off without a hitch. He installed two boxes in just under an hour. He was a very good technician. He did his job...

Thanks for the advice. I have Verizon scheduled to install for TV on Saturday. I am going to just suspend my DTV service for as long as they will let me just to make sure everything works out with Fios.

I am seriously thinking to switching to FIOS TV. I currently have FIOS Internet and phone. I have been deal offers to go to the triple play and I may just pull the trigger on it. They look to have a very good channel offerings and the receivers seem good also. I currently have DirecTV and am...

Some days it works and some days it doesn't. I've learned not to rely on it.

In Virginia it's three days. It's the buyers remorse law,IIRC. Every state is different though.

But you cannot use the ESPN Watch app because DTV has no agreement with ESPN. I'm really close to dropping DTV because of this and just going with a basic TV package with Verizon FIOS. Me and my wife's TV watching has dwindled quite a bit with everything you can get via the Internet. If I could...

If DTV doesn't have the SEC Network I will be leaving them in a heartbeat. The best college football in the country and my favorite team is Kentucky of whom I do not and will not miss a basketball game. I haven't seen anything yet how it will be provided for over the Internet. I assume it will...

I would rather watch most sports events off the DVR. I find the NFL nearly unwatchable with all the commercials they have now. Nearly the same for the NCAA tournament games too. Most times I will pause games,go do something for a few minutes, come back and pick up the game. Scroll right through...

I only have a cat. Can they watch or is it blacked out for them? Vin Scully mentions this channel in this clip after he wonders what the # means for Twitter. http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=26189507&topic_id=21753540

For this year they don't show the FOX and ESPN Sunday night game live. It is available after the game is over in their archives. Which is another good reason to have MLBTV. You can go back and watch any game that you may have missed or just want to watch again. Also I think the blackout for FOX...
