Received a new HR44 from DirecTV. Hate to loose all our recordings and be stuck with the same caller ID problems.
What do you guys think, hook it up or not?
The guy said he would ship me a new HR44 and not a refurbished one. How can I tell if it's a new one when I receive the replacment?

My HR44 gets flooded with "Unavailable" caller ID's when on the land line. The DirecTV guy says they have never heard of this.
They are going to send me another HR44 but will not upgrade me to an HR54. :nono2:
Our Genie received a new update last night and now the Youtube is not working. How can I get Youtube working again?
What else is new with this latest update? Did they fix the Caller ID problem?
Everytime I change channels on the Genie HR44 I get the "press R to record" this show pop up screen. Is there any way in the world to disable these annoying pop ups?
I'm getting plenty sick of them. :bang
Here's the real dumb question..................Does DirecTV charge you anything extra when you record shows on the Genie?
My bill is looking much higher now that we have the Genie. :(

Just saw some posts from back in 2013 with this same problem.............Guess Directv is in no hurry to fix the problem. :nono2:
Just got a call this morning and received 24 unavailable caller ID's from our new HR44 Genie in less then 30 minutes while on the phone. :eek2: This is a little ridiculous.
Will a call to DirecTV be fruitless?
I was looking for a free way to the get "The Sopranos" all 6 seasons downloaded. Maybe "Deadwood" also.
Maybe I'll subscribe for a month or two and get what we want.
So, you have to be subscribed to the premiums even to record the older stuff off of On Demand?
When they have a free preview weekend you can record all the On Demand stuff during the preview?
