The only channels I still watch in SD are The Hub and Military.
  2. DIRECTV Programming
Still waiting for The Hub. My Little Pony just isn't as good in standard definition.

The number for Cox would also be a little low assuming it's not including Las Vegas.

it's got a pretty big adult fanbase actually (wikipedia article). To return to topic somewhat, the hub is in HD on dish, fios, u-verse, and a lot of cable systems. I don't think it's too much to ask if directv would join that list after the negotiations.

I don't know when exactly, but the Discovery Networks contract is supposed to be renegotiated before the end of the year. Hopefully that means The Hub in HD. The My Little Pony season 3 premiere is November 10th; I'd love to watch it in HD.

I don't want replay in any form. The solution is for umpires to be held accountable. MLB says they grade umpires, but we never see the grades and umpires are never disciplined for not performing. They should institute a promote/demote system where every year the 10 worst umpires in MLB are...

best deal I found when I was looking was the AAA deal. Second to that would be the Costco/Sam's Club deals.

Had my HR34 for over 6 months. I've pressed the red button only once. Either your unit is faulty or the installer did something wrong. In either case, you need to call directv tech support.

You need to understand also that the Lakers territory extends into San Diego and Las Vegas. Half of San Diego and all of Las Vegas are cox cable. Part of Orange County is cox cable. I think there are pockets of cablevision somewhere in there too. Point is, there are many homes in the Lakers...

Astros are going to be on Comcast SportsNet Houston next year, thus none of the Fox Sports Nets would be carrying it.

unfortunately, when there isn't a very crystal clear local DMA game, fox likes to show the "default national game". Which is how Las Vegas ends up in this situation. Las Vegas is blackout territory for BOTH the padres and diamondbacks (as well as 4 other teams), but fox broadcasts yankees/red...

I assume as much. For markets that have multiple "local" teams though, I assume you'll still have the chance to be blacked out because of territory rights (instead of timeslot rights). This year in fact there was a padres/diamondbacks game on fox as well as yankees/red sox. Fox in Las Vegas...

not intending to get too off topic here....BUT DAMN I HATE MLB'S BLACKOUT TERRITORIES. In Vegas we're blacked out for Padres, Doggers, Angels, Giants, A's, and Diamondbacks. Six teams! Similar situation for Iowa (White Sox, Cardinals, Twins, Cubs, Brewers, Royals) and Hawaii (A's, Mariners...

2012. Well actually...2011 with Candace Bailey and Kevin Pereira as hosts of Attack Of The Show.

the hub is the only channel I watch that isn't in HD. Of course a decent amount of their programming is older stuff like Wonder Years and Alf, but the new programming like My Little Pony and Transformers would be great to have in HD. Also, I'd watch G4 if that was available.

Fox Sports San Diego is a definite deal-breaker for me. AMC as well to a much lesser extent. ABC Family not in HD is a factor too. Though having G4 sure would be nice and I'd like to have the hub in HD. Obviously the other stuff outweighs these wants though.

My want list is down to three channels. And I only watch one program on each of the channels. The Hub - My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic HLN - Morning Express with Robin Meade G4 - Attack of the Show (although without Kevin Pereira, I doubt it's any good anymore)

Las Vegas is "local" territory for the padres, angels, dodgers, giants, A's, and diamondbacks. It's a pain in the butt. If mlb was smart they'd get rid of the blackout policy and I would cancel my tv service and just use netflix and mlb.tv. The money wouldn't have to pass through a middleman...

Yep http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2012/mar/29/fssd-pessimistic-about-padres-tv-deal/ FSSD is saying that AT&T and TWC won't have a deal in place in time for opening day. I sent a facebook blast out to my San Diego friends regarding the directv refer a friend promotion :)
