I installed my AT-9 many years ago with standard 2" exhaust pipe. It has no rust and looks like I put it in yesterday. Really do not need the heavier pipe.

it goes from the ground strap attached to the pole to a ground block which should be near your electric ground

Ok thanks . I always thought you can use the ground block inside the house to keep it weather resistant...less problems outside..

Well you can, but logic says is better to keep the surge (if it ever happens) outside

You can get it at virtually any parts store or even muffler shop.

Just one more question.. Why even bother to ground it since the whole thing is conductive and its already attached to a pole that is into the ground? whats that little copper line going to do, that the steel pole will not do?

Because the dish and its coax cables MUST be bonded to your house's electric ground. is code!

I picked one up a couple of months ago and I went to a Mieneke first. They didn't have any, so he sent me down the street to a small mom and pop muffler shop. It was $10 for an 8' piece of pipe.

Here are updated pics of the dish installed and running the only thing I have to run are the ground cable and block and seal it off from weather,, I ran plastic under ground to make it nice and neat..

Actually getting the correct signals wasn't that hard at all..
