I figured I'd get the ball rolling and start talking about the upcoming release (it will be here, soon, anon, etcetera)...

I am hoping that the HDMI issues are resolved or at least worked on moving forward with the next release.

PQ over Component too would be nice.

BTW, kind'o off topic, but in the realm, I noticed that the 7401 CPU is capable of 1080p 24 fames. Would anyone like to see that come through?

I care not about 1080p since there (a) are no broadcasters that will be recordning or broadcasting in it and (b) you can't tell the difference from any reasonable viewing difference.

I'll be happy when the User Interface features catch up to the HR20-700! I miss using the left arrow to go to previous screens. And it would be nice to hide the duplicate SD channels.

I'd be happy if I could get pictures to the HR21 through my folders. BUT, I'll take a network connection that doesn't freeze the box.

I think we're like the HR20-100, we'll see a new release after the HR21-700 team has beat it down first. Fine by me.

I have the network connected and detecting WMP-11 server on my laptop and I have had no freezes. I've only played a few cuts and no pictures so far, but simply having the network connection present does not seem to freeze my box.

Ya know....knockon wood.....I've never had the "network luck-up bug". I haven't tried music. That's next on the list. I'm just starting to push 3000 pics thru it overnight and see what happens.

+1 - I used media share on my -200 for about 2 hours the other day and didn't seem to have any troubles. Is the "network freeze issue" tied to a specific router?

Must say I'm really impressed with the -200 so far. No major problems...it would be nice to see some of the functions from the HR20 in there...

maybe not 1080p...but we could try MRV!

I would like to see this receiver (and HR21-700) reach feature parity with their HR20 brethren (currently 0x1b4). I am sure this is a priority and I expect it by Jan. 1.

If I try DHCP, then it will hang on my Microsoft MN-700 router, likely because it has a low level connection at the MAC/PHY layer, and doesn't get what it expects at the IP layer and keeps trying ad nausium. I still need to put it in line with a hub and packet sniff to see what is happening, but I haven't had the opportunity.
