well we know that I live in Wisconsin but I had a ton of games "blacked out" yesterday.. including the opposing side of the Brewer game..

I had the "TWINS GAME" blacked out..

see you can't get it locally and you can't get it on EI.. WHY? because I AM SUPPOSE TO GET IT ON MY FOX SPORTS NETWORK..

but I had other games blacked out as well.

this is the typical Directv MESS. and every year they promise to "fix " it.. and they don't..

    its a constant lie..

I did that a week or so ago, but tried again just now and it still showed the same data...no Cards listed.

You'll need EI for the Cardnails then.

It's not a D* mess, they are blacking out what the respective leagues tells them to black out and it's totally out D*'s control.

Regardless of what team's home market you live in, the opposing teams feed on EI will ALWAYS be blacked out. Just as the Pirates FSN Pittsburgh, Giants CSN Bay Area, and Mariners FSN NW feeds were all blacked out on my TV's last night.

Is it possible that FSN North and DirecTV doesn't have a deal in place for the Twins to be aired in your area? Based on a La Crosse Zip Code, the only pro sports telecast from Minnesota you are elegible to receive is the Wild.

Last year on the web page for D*'s Sportspack, when I used my Zip Code, the Royals did not appear as a team being in my home market. This year, the Royals do appear as a team being in my home market. Also last year Royals related, Cox Cable subscribers in Topeka & Omaha only saw 100 out of 140+ Royals telecasts, last night at the final minute, a deal was done to allow those markets to see all 140+ FSNKC Royals telecasts.

Just because Des Moines is claimed by all 6 midwest MLB teams to be in their respective home TV market, the local cable company only airs the Cardnails on a full time basis with a handful of Twins games on a local access channel (at least they did last year).

That's what I thought, but why have they not been blacked out on FSN-MW the last 2 games?

I know it's not likely, but could something have changed this season in regards to the Cards being shown here?

Perhaps it's part of the EI free preview? If you have EI, not only out-of-market games appear in the 700 range, they are also on their respective RSN channel in the 600 range.

I know some of the boundaries have changed recently. They added the Atlanta Braves to our area, allowing us to get two more sports networks as our home area.

That's what i was wondering initially.

As you appear to have the sports pack, can you check tonight and see if the games airing on the normal RSN channels are blacked out or if they are all showing the games w/o black out due to the EI free preview????

I do have the sports pack, but it's a pretty heavy day schedule of games. There's only 2 night games and one of the games is a "local" team and the other is a late night west coast game.

I'm in the 55955 area code - which according to DirecTV is in the Twins market. The Twins game right now is blacked out on EI, on Fox Sports North, and it is not available on any regional alternate. The game is available however on Fox Sports Northwest (the Twins are playing the Mariners). Why is a home game blacked out for the local market? I'll accept that this is a MLB, not DirecTV, call, but it doesn't make any sense to me.

It is available on the MLB Game Mix so I do get to watch it in HD about 12"x12" - whoopie.

Sorry to hijack, but I live in a rural area that only gets the FSS and MASN feeds(Orioles,Nationals). I want to pick up Red Sox games for my wife on NESN. We've been enjoying the games this week on the EI preview too much. If I buy the Sports pack for $12.99 a month will I be able to watch almost all of the Red Sox games besides those airing on FOX or ESPN? Almost all the Red Sox games are on NESN except for a few.

Nope after the free preview, you'll need to buy EI.

So why is the Yankees bonus cam blacked out, is it only available in NY?

And why is NESN blacking out the repeat of last nights game?

I am so sick of blackouts.

All reairs and classic games are blacked out and yes, the bonus cam is only available in the NY DMA and from what i've heard, it's nothing more than PIP.

Can anybody answer if I'm having a MLB issue or a Directv issue with regards to the Rangers game being blacked out for me tonight. Here is an email i sent to viewerinfo@foxsports.net

I live in Baton Rouge, LA and am trying to watch tonight's Rangers-Orioles game. I have Directv and the game is nowhere to be found in my guide. I subscribe to MLB Extra Innings to be able to watch Major League Baseball. When I try to tune in to the game on Extra Innings, it says the game is blacked out in my area. Obviously this is the Orioles feed I'm trying to view. My question is if tonight's game is not available to me for the Rangers feed, why am I not being able to watch on the Orioles MASN feed? I find this to be pretty ridiculous. If you could please provide with some help in this matter, I would appreciate it.

Come to think of it, I'm not sure that email will get any answer for me being the Rangers game is on an OTA station tonight. I am considered in the Rangers market, but neither Directv nor Cable is providing the game tonight. So shouldn't I be able to view the Orioles feed under the circumstances? Any help is appreciated.

I assume the Rangers claim your town as part of their territory, so what you are experiencing is the MLB blackout policy at its finest ... amazingly you are correctly being blacked out ... you can never see a competing teams broadcast of a rangers game according to policy so if the rangers are not televising or their OTA feed is not available to you you go without... try watching the mix channel ....

I had a feeling that might be the case, but was hoping otherwise. Thanks
