I wish they'd give us a choice of $99 for a team, $139 for two teams (pick 'em), $159 for a division, $199 for a conference or $299 for the whole enchilada. Maybe a $50 kicker to get blackouts waived. They'd probably get a heck of a lot more subs and make a heck of a lot more money. Imagine the number of people out there that are passing on a $300 package for financial reasons that might pick up a cheaper package.

They used to give you the first choice. When ST was in its infancy you could pay to watch just your team or every game. I think the 1 team option was like $79. But that was before the days of annoying local tv blackouts, etc and that's what you'd run in to if you went back to that system now. I heard the Steelers were on here in Tampa last year more than the Bucs. How would you like to have paid $100 and then have a whole lot of their games available for free on CBS/Fox?

I don't think the NFL would ever let that happen. As soon as they did they would have teams like the Cowboys saying that they deserve more money because more people get their team subscription than any other teams, etc.

Not to mention there is a good chance that they would lose a lot of money because not nearly as many people buy the $300 package since now they only need the $100 package to watch their team.

That's what the whole blackout kicker of $50 was about.

Guys, I added the NFL ST ultimate for 299.95 + 18.00 tax. I then once I ordered it went to my account and paid 317.95 for it. I did this on FEB 14.

What I now did this past week, was see if I could get something off. After speaking with directv. I was able to get 60 back, What they will do is credit me 10 for 6 months.

Better then nothing so NFL ST ultimate is now costing me 240. Plus as mentioned I already paid with credit card the day I ordered it, so I'm all set for the 2012 season.

    Season starts WED SEP 5

The cable carriers wanted games sold individually, pay-per-view.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger, since I had nearly $300 in credits on my account (came back to DirecTV and they refunded my early cancellation fee).

So it ended up being a wash. I had the money now (in a credit) and using it now is better than $60 over five months.

Think I should try to get some of that back, or do you think that because I'm a new/returning customer I wouldn't get very far?

I'm curious if anyone here has been able to get the redzone channel for free without having to pay for the rest of the sunday ticket.
