Look like we may get Sports net Edmonton on 10/10 in HD.

This one might turn out to be a TSN-HABS wild feed.

If so, I wonder how they can predict ahead of time what wild feeds will be available.

I was also pleasantly surprised by the SNET-P feed last night for the Canucks/Flames game. No rhyme or reason why that would have been available given all the past history with games with Canadian-only feeds being in SD only. Maybe this is a small step in the right direction.

Well, new season, same old sh@t. Come home today to find the Isles v. Coyotes game "canceled" on my Genie (no reason, of course). Oh well, I guess I get to see the ending. Nice to know the Genie blows just like the HR20 did.

Is it really necessary for NHL network to have their logo in three different locations when airing live games??? We get it, were watching NHL Network!!!

Between the crawl, the logos and the rest of the crap, anyone that want's to see their team on that network is insane! The fact that they actually accept those mycleanpc commercials speaks volumes about it.

It's not much better on the Fox owned channels now either. Every since they launched Fox Sports 1, they suddenly think it's a great idea to run a scroll at the bottom of the screen all through out the game. There is just no reason for it, none. I'm fine doing it pre/post game or inbetween periods, but not DURING gameplay.

I agree, this is totally ridiculous. on FS-FL, they did NOT have the ticker for the programming before the game, but then turned it on during gameplay. What???

Anyone we can contact about this?

Tickers don't bother me. I like them, it allows me to see what is going on with other games, and if I want I just don't look at them.

Yes, at least there has been a good selection of Canadian feeds. Obviously we would all prefer HD feeds for all games, but we know that's not going to happen. But before we get too complacent let's wait and see how many Canadian feeds there are, even in SD, once the Free Preview period is over.

There are a thousand other ways to keep track of the rest of the games. There's only one way to watch them and it should be as uncluttered as possible. That means a small score and clock on the top of the screen and nothing else.

I completely agree. I hate the tickers.

However, one of the thousand other ways to keep track of another game, and arguably the most popular, is to switch channels to that other game. This tends to make the advertisers a little antsy, as the most common time to switch to that other game would be at a commercial break in the current one. So If you're seeing the score of that other game, you may have less motivation to switch channels.

Plus, there's the added benefit to the broadcaster of the constant promos for upcoming shows.

Again, I hate them, too. But I think there are some pretty strong reasons why they're there.

Called Directv today and enquired about a discount on Center Ice. Surprise...surprise, I was able to get it for $100.00 all inclusive. It works for me!
