So I've had my HR20-700 operating for about 24 hours now, and I must say, I am really growing to like it. After first, all the jumping around between resolutions for different channels was annoying, but it's worth it to get the fantastic HD pic where possible. A couple of things, though: 1. What happened to automatic closed-captioning when I mute the TV? I love that for when I'm on the phone....and there seems to be no "one-button" way to enable CC. ???? 2. I travel frequently (mostly for 3 day trips, sometimes up to 7--10 days). Do you all recommend shutting down the HR20 while I'm away? It does run very warm, so I'm thinking that keeping it cooled down when possible might be good...but I hate turning it off and on, as this seems like it could lead to problems... 3. Do I need resolutions 480i or 480p enabled? I do have 3 SD TV's running off this receiver. I'm thinking maybe I only need 729p and 1080i. The only thing I miss from my old Sony SAT D* box was a little menu of 9 channels that you could bring up in a square...QuickFaves, or something like that. You could program it with your 9 most frequently-used channels. I could literally pop over to MSNBC or CNN or HBO in 2 presses, without even looking at the remote (you would do Select/Arrow). Now it seems I have to go into the full My Favorites menu to get around...either that, or memorize the channel numbers. Overall, I'm happy I made the change and look forward to expanded HD channels.
