I you run a coax cable from a 622/722 to a 2nd TV, can the 2nd TV get all the same channels as on the primary TV?

yes, but none of them will be in HD..the HD channels will be SD on the 2nd tv.

Actually no, but only if you have OTA, in dual mode the 622/722 will not show any ota channels on tv2 they are reserved for tv1 or if you are in single user mode.

Actually, yes. The agile modulator outputs both TV1 and TV2 via RF so you can get every channel on secondary Tv's.

Yes, but tv2 remote cannot change channel while in dual user mode.

What do you mean by that? What good would the 2nd remote be if you couldn't change the channels....

garys - are you sure you don't have single and dual modes mixed up ? My 625 is in dual mode, and it acts like 2 single receivers in 1 box.

I think what is trying to be said here:

    - In dual mode, TV2 can receive all the channels as TV1 except for the OTA channels.

    - TV2 can also receive the tuner 1 output along the same COAX that is carrying the TV2 signal by enabling it and setting Tuner 1 to a different UHF frequency from tuner2. You can then use TV2 to view an OTA channel that is currently being viewed on tuner1 by tuning TV2 to the desired UHF frequency.

    - The TV2 remote will only change the channel of the 2nd tuner. So, if you are using TV2 to view the tuner 1 output, as stated above, you will not be able to change the channel on the 1st tuner with the TV2 remote.

Hopefully, I didn't add to the confusion.

ok-- go easy on the newbie- i'm not with dish yet, but considering it... i assume all this (tv1 tv2) applies to both the 622 and the 722, correct?

i have 2 hd tvs and would want 2 hd dvrs. dish won't do that, they said - only one hd 722. i realize i can split off the one 722, but if i understand correctly then i won't have HD on tv2, correct? also, then i effectively split my hard drive amongst two tv's - gotta feeling that would fill up very quickly.

also, can you switch on the fly from single to dual mode?
    thanks guys for helping here....
i am very confused about this - is there a primer link someone can refer me to?
