Does this still exist? I found an old message with the following instructions:
and I thought I remembered doing that to activate the skip a year or so ago. It doesn't work now though because all I get is the ability to autorecord programs with "30SKIP" in the description. Is there any way to get a skip rather than a slip?

Yes, it still exists. You enter "30SKIP" then press your red button to do a keyword search. Then choose "done".

    Sunny...
Yep, still works just as Runner said. Use "30SLIP" to return to the other way. Make sure you do a "keyword" search. No results will be found. Click "done". Cuz... the damage is done and the unit is then it skip mode - not slip.

I think some DVR's revert back to "30SLIP" if they are restarted or get a software upgrade and the keyword must be entered again. I'm not sure which models do this.

None of the H2X's or HR's do this, the setting sticks until you do a search for 30SLIP.

Do you not have to do a keyword search for IAMANEDGECUTTER first, before you can activate 30SKIP?
